Dear XC-Open pilots,

All information for the XC-Open Serra de Estrela e Mirandela in Portugal is online now. The competition dates are August 27 - September 03 2011.
The registration for the XC-Open Serra de Estrela e Mirandela is open.
The entry fee of 130 Euros (if paid before June 26; 160 Euros after June 26) includes all transport: pick up from/to the airport in Oporto or Lisboa, transport to launch and retrieve.
For young pilots up to the age of 28  years there is a special discounted entry fee of 99 Euros only. There is even Free Camping for XC-Open pilots during the competition and a number of inexpensive accommodation possibilities.
The competition area is very nice and has a huge XC-potential with flights of more than 250 km which have been made from take offs in the Serra de Estrela.
It will be interesting and good flying in a new area for XC-Open competitions.  Plus: The logistics for transport and retrieve will be provided by the local organization which is experienced through organizing World Championship and PWC.
